There are Still Condos in the low $200's near this Ottawa LRT Station

The Ottawa LRT stations have been opened for a few months and although the City and OC Transpo are still working at fixing some items with the trains and some stations many residents of Ottawa are already seeing the benefit of this new light rail transit system.

For years now residents of Ottawa have been awaiting the arrival of the LRT system in our City. Those who already live near the current stations have been long anticipating the Ottawa LRT stations opening up.

More and more we are seeing people wanting to live in close proximity to a station to help cut on their daily commute. Although the current Confederation Line is very central to Ottawa which is synonymous with expensive real estate, there's one station that still offers affordable housing within 1.5 km or roughly 20-minute walk.

This would be the Blair Light Rail Transit station which is at the Gloucester Mall in Ottawa's East End. This station is currently the last station when doing East Bound on this new Confederation Line.

In the last 6 months, a total of 56 condos were sold in this area of the City. The average asking price was $210,938 while the average sold price was $209,382.

The least expensive condos are the apartment-style condos located in the Beacon Hill South neighbourhood. Condo units in the Arrowsmith Drive condo buildings and the neighbouring Jasmine Crescent condo buildings have an average sold price of $148,116.

For those looking for a larger property, there are several condo complexes located in the Pineview neighbourhood which is located South of the Queensway HWY 174 that could fit your needs.

In 2018 the average townhome style condo in this area sold for an average of $203,518. Condo prices are on the rise! Just in the last 6 months, row house / townhome-style condos in this same area have sold for an average of $250,474. These often include 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 1 or 2 parking spots. There are even a few condo complexes in Pineview that have a garage.
