Buying a Home

My job as a Real Estate Broker in Ottawa is to make your home buying process as smooth as possible. Whether you are new to Ottawa or just relocating across our City, I can help!

You've decided that homeownership is right for you and your family. That's great. The next step is to look at your financial picture to understand how much you are spending now, what you can afford to spend and what your future expenses will be.

Along with a mortgage broker or bank representative, we will look at how much you currently spend on expenses and debt payments as well as see how much money you have saved up or invested. We will discuss all upfront costs associated with buying a home including the down payment, home inspection or appraisal costs, insurance costs, fees for lawyers, and any repairs or renovation costs.

You've now got your finances in order, you and I then discuss your family's wants and needs. We must look into the future when buying a home. What kind of home do you need now and what type will you need 5 or 10 years down the road?

We will discuss many parameters of your search including but not limited to your ideal location or neighbourhood, the approximate size, the property type, and any special features that your family is looking for.

When the time comes to make an offer I will assist you in preparing the legal paperwork, crafting clauses in your contract to protect you, the buyer.

Let's discuss your real estate needs with a phone call, Zoom video call, at a coffee shop or I can even come to you. Call me or text me at 613-889-7732 or email me at roch@rochstgeorges.com
